1. What's wrong with my garage sensors?

Faulty sensors are a common reason for people looking to fix garage door issues. Faulty sensors in a garage can cause a garage door to not close all the way, causing undue stress for homeowners. Yet, it can be one of the simplest issues to fix.

A common reason sensors malfunction is the path of the sensor being blocked by objects. In addition, a sensor can fail to connect to its original power source.

Yet more reasons for faulty sensors include sensors being misaligned, being wet, or even having dirty lenses. Sensors might be easy to fix, but they require constant attention from those looking to prevent and fix garage door issues.

2. Why is my garage opener light blinking?

3. Are my rollers worn?

Worn rollers can be the cause of a number of issues that all need to be addressed before getting out of hand. One of the main ways to know if your rollers are worn is to listen and observe your garage door as it closes.

Worn rollers will cause your garage door to make excessive noise as it comes down. In addition, if your garage door is always out of alignment, this might be a sign to fix garage door rollers.

Finally, worn rollers can cause your garage door to violently shake as it is being let up or down. If you notice any of these signs on your garage door, it might be time to replace those old rollers.

4. Why is my garage remote not working?

There are many reasons why a garage door remote might suddenly stop working. One of the most common reasons is the lack of batteries or batteries that have blown or died recently. A simple test would be to replace the batteries of your remote and see if they work afterward.

As we mentioned earlier, sometimes your garage door opener light will blink due to the manual lock button being pushed. This can also cause a garage door remote to not work. Luckily, this also has a simple fix, by simply disengaging your garage door lock button by pressing it again.
